Try it
How many breweries are in the Midwest, by state?
curl "https://openplaces.practicebase.io/api/v1/count?leaves=brewery®ions=midwest&by=state" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENPLACES_KEY"
Then the rows, 100 at a time:
curl "https://openplaces.practicebase.io/api/v1/places?leaves=brewery®ions=midwest&limit=100" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENPLACES_KEY"
Already have the websites? Send up to 1,000 (URLs, domains or email addresses) and get the rows back:
curl -X POST "https://openplaces.practicebase.io/api/v1/lookup" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENPLACES_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"domains": ["aspendental.com", "https://www.mydentist.co.uk", "[email protected]"]}'
/count returns rows: exactly how many rows /places will page through. Every row has locations_total (locations with that website nationwide) and size_band (1, 2-9, 10-99, 100+): a rough size signal, a count of locations rather than staff.
Endpoints: /categories, /count, /places, /lookup, /lists (full builds, async). Params match the builder: leaves, tops, regions, states, city, radius_mi, complete_only…
UK: add country=gb. Regions are england, scotland, wales, northern_ireland; cities look like Leeds, England.
